The filling area

One of the unique features of the Schur®Star Packaging Machine is the availability of multi-filling positions.

Filling is possible in a manual process, in a semi-automatic, or a fully automatic process.

The machine can be programmed to fill one bag at the time, or up to 6 bags at the time. This is made possible by a filling section of up to 10 meters, enabling multiple filling stations. This is convenient e.g. for filling of meals, where the various ingredients are to be placed in layers. In other situations, multiple index filling is a simple way to optimise profitability.

Manual filling

Although filling is made manually, the workflow will still be precise and consistent – because of the concept of premade bags.

For manual filling, bag feed can take place automatically, with a variable stopping time per cycle.

Manual filling can be the obvious solution for smaller batch runs, for testing purposes, for seasonal or promotional activities.

Semi-automatic filling

A semi-automatic packing machine is extremely user-friendly and easy to operate, and the workflow will still be precise, although semi-automatic.

Bag intake, opening of the bag, filling, and sealing, and finally a marking process or placing of a label are operations that can all take place both manually and automatically, or be combined in a semi-automatic workflow. The long filling section makes it possible to integrate automatic filling equipment and combine with one or more manual filling stations.

A semi-automatic packing process could be bagging of a meal, consisting of pasta, filled manually,  upon which a portion of sauce is filled automatically. Vegetables and topping could be placed in the bags from filling stations 3 and 4.

Fully automatic filling

The fully automated bagging machine is easy to operate, maintain, and clean. The machine will be customized to match the exact requirements, based on the product and processing circumstances.

Fully automatic filling is a perfect solution for e.g. large batch runs as well as for more complex packaging projects.

Bag feeding can be continuous with a pre-selected speed, intermittent with a pre-selected bag number per cycle, and automatic with a variable stopping time per cycle. Capacity is maximum 80 bags per minute, dependent on bag size and the product to be filled.
