Our production setup allows us to fully control the entire value chain, in which our in-house prepress team represents the first vital step.
We use our knowledge of the entire value chain to guide, to technically amend for flexo printing, and to make recommendations as to critical elements on the bag.
Not only can we inspire our customers, we are also able to guide them to the best solutions. This could be optimization of a design by selecting alternative colours – resulting in cost-savings through fewer printing plates and even a better print result.
We maintain our plates in-house. This means that in case we should experience a plate damage, we can avoid to stop and reschedule the job, but can resume it after in-house production of new plates.
Having prepress and plate-making in-house offers us the possibility of changing the printing plates at a very late stage of the process, even during a press run with the customer.
We have a close partnership with Esko and have been Alfa and Beta tester on several Esko products. Esko provides us with a complete solution of software and hardware. For our in-house plate production, we apply the Esko CDI Crystal and XPS Crystal technologies.
By employment of 3D Esko Studio, we can produce digital 3D colada files of our customers’ packaging ideas. With the use of the Esko Viewer App, the customer can turn the 3D colada file and make a still photo or place it on a surface with the use of the built-in augmented reality option.
The close co-operation with our in-house printing department and the direct involvement in the process make our print quality first class.
By experience, we can select the correct or best choice of screens and separation for the printing press, dependent on the specific design and the selected film material.
With our application of a state-of-the-art ink dispensing system supplied by Füll, we can produce and save recipes of the ink colour for repeat prints.
In other words, we have a workflow where prepress preparation, plate making, plate mounting, colour mixing, and printing fit perfectly together.
As an additional service, we can produce our customers’ design ideas as a physical mock-up. Within few days, we are able to prepare and supply a digitally printed, hand-made sample of the projected newly designed pack, produced on a flexible material. This enables our customer to take the pack in the hand, to feel, to touch, and to evaluate whether it matches and supports the product, its profile, and the initial ideas.
Our printing equipment comprises Windmöller & Hölscher state-of-the-art central impression drum printing machines with 10 ink stations.
Printing in flexo allows us to print on many different substrates. This allows us to follow new green trends for printing on e.g. PE or paper.
All our printing machines have full AVT assistance and video supervision and are equipped to run two-sided print in registere.
This allows us to add valuable features to a design, such as printing matt or gloss lacquer on partial areas on the outside of a reverse printed film, resulting in eye-catching Point-of-Sale effects.
The close co-operation with our in-house printing department and the direct involvement in the process make our print quality first class.
Furthermore, we apply a state-of-the-art ink dispensing system supplied by Füll. With this technology we can prepare and save recipes of the printed colour for repeat prints.
In other words, our workflow of prepress preparation, plate making, plate mounting, colour mixing, and printing fits together into a perfect unity.
